Click for Full Image Size This must be a shocking news to the family of the Noble Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka as he is bereaved. He lost his daughter Iyetade Apampa to the cold arms of death while receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment at the University College Hospital in Ibadan.

A statement confirming her death was released on December 29, 2013, by Soyinka’s aide, Jahman Anikulapo on behalf of the family. He described Iyetade as an ‘affable, intelligent and sometimes capricious’ lady who ‘struggled with her health in recent years’.

The statement further added...

"In spite of this, she greeted every day with a smile and doted on her two children. She took ill quite suddenly and passed away while being treated at UCH, Ibadan. Iyetade leaves behind two children, both parents, numerous siblings, nieces and nephews."
