Timaya (born November 29, 1977) is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.
Timaya is an award winning Nigerian musician popular for socially conscious music that constantly references the role of God in overcoming difficult circumstances.
In 2011 Timaya was appointed a Peace Ambassador by the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace, (IIFWP). Dr. Hak Ja Haan Moon, co-founder of the IIFWP, stated he is "One of those individuals whose lives exemplify the ideal of living for the sake of others, and who dedicate themselves to practices which promote the founding ideals of the IIFWP.
Timaya has sold over 30million records in total since 2007 also performing in countries all over the world. His recent single, Mind over matter with D banj went viral the first hour it was released, with several downloads on music website Notjustok.com
 
Timaya on Tuesday, held the 2013 edition of what is fast becoming his annual concert in, Minnesota, USA. Making an appearance was model and actor IK Ogbonna who had all the ladies melting for him. The show was well attended by the African community in Minnesota, mostly the Liberian folks. More pics after the cut:
