The minister of state for education, Anthony Anwukah, has traveled to the United States for medical treatment.
Anwukah’s medical trip was disclosed on Tuesday, October 3, by the minister of education, Adamu Adamu, at a press briefing on the 2017 World Teachers’ Day in Abuja, Premium Times reports.
Adamu urged those at the event pray for the speedy recovery of Anwukah, but stopped short of disclosing the ailment the junior minister was being treated for.
“Please permit me to ask us to say a minute prayer for the Minister of State who is away in the U.S to receive medical treatment for an illness,” the minister of education said.

Meanwhile, Lai Mohammed who is the minister of information has said that President Buhari’s health issue is a private affair in spite of the fact that the country is paying his medical bills.
President Buhari was out of the country for more than three months for medical treatment in London and the minister of information said it was not strange that the country was paying his medical bills.
The Punch reports that Mohammed in an interview also spoke about Nnamdi Kanu’s Biafra agitation saying he had gone into hiding.
