The lawmaker representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Senator Ben Murray Bruce, has hinted that there’s a budget of ₦40m to feed wildlife in the Presidential Villa.
He bemoaned why that should be when Nigerians can barely feed.
On his Twitter handle [email protected], Murray-Bruce tweeted: “It breaks my heart that at a time when many Nigerians can’t eat, we are budgeting ₦40 million to feed wildlife in Aso Rock Presidential Villa!
“At ₦510 to a dollar, #BuyNaijaToGrow TheNaira is no luxury, it is not even a necessity. Nigeria has reached the stage where it’s a necessity!
“I celebrate the ICPC for buying made in Aba bags and call on other MDAs of the government to join the #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira movement!
“As someone who has over the years advocated for the FG to legalize illegal refineries, I commend the VP and urge him to put action to words,” he added.
