The new commissioner of police posted to Kogi State, Ali Jaga has resumed office at the command headquarters in Lokoja.

Cp Janga took over from Wilson Inalegwu who was recently posted to Plateau State.

Addressing journalists in his maiden press briefing, the new Commissioner of Police Ali Janga said he was in the state to fight crime, just as he called for support from the general public to achieve this task.

He warned criminals not to think of perpetuating any act within the state stressing that “the command will make life unbearable for them.”

In his farewell speech, the outgoing cp Wilson Inalegwu while urging his predecessor to build on his achievement in the state, noted that crime and criminalities had reduced to the nearest minimum during his shot stay in the state.

He added that his command through the support of the Kogi state government, sister security agencies and vigilantes had weeded out armed robberies, kidnapping, thuggeries in flash areas in kogi such as Itobe, Osara, Okene, Ajaokuta, Idah and Anyingba.
