Delta Police mobilize for Vanguard’s free polls confab

ASABA – DELTA State Police Command has called on relevant stakeholders to attend the two-day national conference, which is being organised by Vanguard Media Limited, tagged, Partnering with the Police for Free, Fair and Credible 2011 Elections, kicking-off in Asaba, tomorrow.
State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Charles Muka, in a statement in Asaba, yesterday, said, “the Inspector General of Police cordially invites all senators, House of Representatives/Assembly member, civil commissioners, board members, political office holders, political aspirants, leaders of political parties, chair, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, traditional rulers, civil society organisations, international agencies, youth leaders and student union leaders to a national conference tagged Partnering with the Police for Free, Fair and Credible 2011 Elections.”
The statement urged the stakeholders “to come and partner with the Police to ensure violence free and fair 2011 elections.”
