Boycott Anambra election: Nnamdi's Kanu's IPOB releases new sit-at-home order

- The Indigenous People of Biafra has released a new order, asking members to sit at home during forthcoming Anambra election

- The group also accused Willi Obiano, the governor of the state, of colluding with Nigerian military to slaughter people of the state

- The group also argued that the desire to safe guard lives of Anambra people necessitated the reason for the sit at home call

The Indigenous People of Biafra has officially ordered another sit at home. This time around, the IPOB ordered the people of Anambra to observe the sit at home protest on the day of the forth coming gubernatorial election in the state.

In a statement made available on the group's Radio Biafra Facebook page, IPOB said it ordered the sit at home to safe guard lives of the people because governor Willie Obiano has colluded with the military to slaughter the people of the state.

The statement read: "18th of November 2017 is sit at Home in the whole of Anambra state. Please stay indoors on that day to avoid anything happening to you. We are aware that Willie Obiano has colluded with Nigeria military to slaughter our people on 18th of November 2017, to avoid causalities we advise you to stay at home. NAIJ.com had earlier reported that youths suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) reportedly disrupted a church programme attended by a governorship aspirant in Anambra state.

The attack occurred at Odoekpe, Ogbaru Local Government Area of the state and involved Godwin Ezeemo, who is running on the platform of the Progressives Peoples Alliance. Ezeemo was at Ogbaru to worship at God’s Own Pentecostal Church when the assailants carrying Biafra flags and singing Biafran songs stormed the worship centre.

The youths ordered him and his entourage to leave the place.
