- The PDP alleged that Ubah orchestrated a media attack on the leadership of the party
- The party also referred the senator representing Ogun East Senatorial district, Buruju Kashamu to the party’s disciplinary committee
The Peoples Democratic Party has on Thursday, September 20, suspended Capital oil boss and Anambra Governorship aspirant, Ifeanyi Ubah for a period of one month.
His suspension was announced during a press conference by the National Publicity Secretary/Acting National Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye.

He said: "This week we have some disciplinary issues regarding gthe issue of Anambra governorship primaries in which one if the aspiramt launched a major attack on the leadership of the PDP in the media.
"I am talking in person of Dr Ifeanyi Ubah who not being satisfied with the decision of the governor appeal panel lanched an attack on the party's leadership and those involved in the primaries.
"The national caretaker committee took a decision to issue him a query asking to retract his statement and offer apology to those who have been disparaged by his statements. He chose not to answer the query consequent upon which the national caretaker committee today, decided to suspends him for a period of one month and to refer him the matter to national disciplinary committee."
Going further, Adeyeye referred the senator representing Ogun East Senatorial district, Buruju Kashamu to the party’s disciplinary committee.

NAIJ.com had reported that a governorship aspirant on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform in the forthcoming poll in Anambra, Ifeanyi Ubah, said only the court could stop his ambition.
He alleged that the party’s primary election conducted to pick its candidate for the poll, was fraught with irregularities and that the party leadership had refused to address his complaints on it.
Ubah made this known at a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday, and said that he would continue with his aspiration until his complaints were addressed by the party.
