Nigerians have expressed mixed reactions about President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure as the president of the federal republic of Nigeria.
In the reactions collected by NAIJ.com on its Facebook page, while some people hailed President Buhari for stabilising the country, wagging war against corruption and Boko Haram insurgents, others described his emergence as a big loss to Nigerians.
A Facebook user, Ogba Sylvester, said: “I really thank God Buhari won the 2015 elections, if not I would have died of regret thinking we missed the opportunity to be like Europe and America. At least, Buhari proved me wrong; I initially thought no president could ever be worse than Jonathan.”

William Samson Scott described Buhari as “the world's most tourist president he has travelled almost all the country within 3 months, I bow for u oo Mr presido u can travel for Africa sha even witch no fly reach u.”
Another Facebook user, Abimbola Durosinmi-etti said: “If not for God, and this handsome man......wonder what would have become of common Nigerians. Some of those rich men who have turn us to full time beggars.
“People would by now be checking dustbins looking for food, arms would have been the order of the day, irrational killings would have been on the minds of the youths, hope lost by individuals, mass burial would be on the increase, population decrease would have been high, our youths would have been more rebellious and the Military would have taken charge. Change has come to stay....l know our tomorrow will be better”.
However, another Facebook, Ndubuisi Augstine said: “Is the worst civilian regime so far cos any leader that doesn't obey d law court is a failure and since Buhari came on board, he empowered hunger to deal with d common citizens who voted him in 2O15 believing that things will be fine without knowing that we have be deceived by our leaders.”
According to Kingsley Emeka Sunday: “Ever since Buhari resumed office, we can now know the real source of some people's money. The time of using Biro to syphon public funds is reducing drastically. Very soon, we'll start reaping what this government has sowed. I will never lose hope in President Buhari.
“Majority of Nigerians are Impatient because of their 'Squandering Mentality', all these agitations are fueled by unscrupulous elements who wants the country's resources to be shared without saving anything for the nearest future. Baba Buhari Carry on! Laziness must not be rewarded but Hardwork must surely be paid.”
Holyking Shonekan also noted: “Awesome, despite the effects of visionless looters, avengers, Boko haram, biafra, recession, cabals, and corruption fighting back amidst other vices, Buhari still gives hope of a better, brighter future. If PMB contests again #iWillReelectHim”
