Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan on new media, has expressed concern over the Nigerian Senate’s second rejection of acting EFCC boss Ibrahim Magu based on an integrity report from the DSS.
Omokri is concerned that the APC-led Federal Government is falling apart because of in-fighting
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, March 16, Omokri wondered at the alleged fight between the two government institutions that culminated in Magu’s rejection because he failed a test by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Omokri went on to wonder about all the in-fighting among top members of the APC government both at the federal and state levels.
He mentioned the disagreement between President Muhammadu Buhari’s special assistant on diaspora affairs Abike Dabiri-Erewa and minister of foreign affairs Geoffrey Onyeama and the one between minister of power, works and housing Babatunde Raji Fashola and Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode and wondered if the government can survive so much in-fighting.
Meanwhile, Omokri has also said that if Malam Nasir El-Rufai can make slanderous comments about Jesus Christ, then he can equally do anything to get at Apostle Suleman, just as the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, had alleged.
He said: "Not that I agree With Omega Fire Ministry's allegation that Nasir El-Rufai is behind Stephanie Otobo, but there are many coincidences and it begs questions. On March 29, 2016, Suleman challenged Elrufai over his Preaching License Bill. On April 3, 2016, Elrufai responded.
"A man who can pay herdsmen (as he himself admitted) instead of arresting them shouldn't be underestimated. What is Suleman accused of? Sleeping with Otobo. Okay, El-Rufai tweeted on January 28, 2013 that “if Jesus criticises Jonathan’s government, Maku, Abati or Okupe will say that he slept with Mary Magdalene.”
