British actor, Idris Akuna Elba, popularly known as Idris Elba, has revealed that he has a song with Nigerian singer, Davido, and American rapper, singer, and songwriter, Megan Thee Stallion.
While rumours about him being cast as James Bond has been laid to rest, the international DJ and award-winning actor, and rapper, made the revelation about his new music months after recovering from COVID-19.
Elba revealed this in an interview with MistaJam on CapitalFM’s The All-New Capital Weekender. Elba revealed how spending time during the quarantine allowed him to explore his music.
“I’ve got a tune with Franky Wah, I think it’s gonna be good,” the actor said.
“I’ve got a sneaky tune with Megan Thee Stallion and Davido. Shout out to the fanatics.” He went further to explain the motivating factor behind his music.
“It’s one of those junctures where I just feel like man, life is too short. You just gotta do what you gotta do,” he added.
Elba who has previously worked with Wiley, Sean Paul, and Stefflon Don, on a track titled “Boasty” also revealed intentions of working with Tailor Swift.
“I’ve known Taylor a few years. People see the album sales, the awards. What they don’t see is the hard work,” he said. “She is an incredibly hard-working person, she isn’t resting on her achievements. To perform live with her would be fun and hopefully, we can make that happen.”
