In June, JAGUDA reported a trend on the music charts. It was becoming clear that new emerging acts were taking over from the likes of Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and, others.

Again, this encouraging trend has shown that the younger generation ‘are doing well!!’.

Looking at “Apple Music’s Top 100: Nigeria“, the top ten tracks are dominated by emerging acts.

It is fair to say we would be seeing new kings in the industry very soon.

Omah Lay sits on number one with his latest single Understand. Newbie Ruger follows closely with Bounce, Lojay and Sarz collaborated Monalisa sits on three.

Outside, Feelings and Yaba Buluku; from Buju, Ladipoe and Buju and, DJ Tarico & Burna Boy sit on 4, 5 and, 6 respectively.

Buju comes back with Testimony, AV with Big Thug Boys, Olamide (remains the only A-List on top ten) with Rock while Savage and Buju sit on 10 with Confident.
