Nigeria vs Iceland: How PDP reacted to Super Eagles’ win

The People Democratic Party, PDP, has congratulated the Super Eagles over 2-0 win win against Iceland in their Group D fixture at the 2018 World Cup.

Ahmed Musa scored both goals for the Super Eagles as they claimed their first win at the tournament in Russia.

They will now face Argentina on Tuesday, hoping to book a place in the knockout rounds.

The party in a statement on its Facebook page congratulated the Eagles even as they recognized the presence of Senator Godswill Akpabio.

The statement read “We congratulate the Super Eagles for defeating Iceland 2-0 in the second leg of their match at the ongoing World Cup in Russia.

“We also thank the Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Godswill Akpabio for his presence at the stadium to boost the morale of the players.”
