Chelsea have identified Manchester United’s Anthony Martial as possible replacement for Real Madrid-bound Eden Hazard.
The Blues are working on a deal to sign the attacker this summer.
The Belgian winger is Real Madrid number-one choice to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved to Juventus.
The Times UK reports that the Blues have received indications that United would be willing to sell Martial.
The Frenchman has only one year left on his contract.
The newspaper also claimed that United Manager Jose Mourinho is open to selling Martial and wants to sign a specialist winger instead.
Martial’s game time reduced following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January.
Mourinho has been linked with moves for Croatia’s Ivan Perisic, who he tried to sign last summer, and Ante Rebic, who would be a more natural fit for the right wing.
Chelsea are likely to face competition from both Tottenham Hotspur and German champions, Bayern Munich, for the player.
