Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has appealed to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, to reconcile aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Saraki made the appeal when Diri visited him at his residence on Sunday.

The PDP chieftain, who was pleased to receive the Governor, urged him to work hard and deliver the wishes and aspirations of the Bayelsa people.

Also speaking, Governor Diri assured Saraki of his determination to reunite the party and the entire state.

He promised to perform excellently during his tenure as Governor.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) had declared candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Douye Diri, winner of the Bayelsa governorship election

This was following the nullification of the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, David Lyon and his Deputy, Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo’s election.
