The Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, has said that the 2020 Eid-el Fitr celebrations came at the most trying period not only for Muslims but for all Nigerians.
The Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, added that this year’s Eid-el Fitr was a unique event because it came at a time when the whole world was ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic.
The National Publicity Secretary of the ACF, Mr. Emmanuel Yawe, said on Sunday that the forum celebrates with the Muslim Ummah the end of the Ramadan fasting.
The forum said, “The Forum is aware that this year’s Eid-el Fitr is a unique event because it has come at a time when the whole country, indeed the whole world is ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic. it is a trying period not only for Nigerian Muslims but for all Nigerians.”
The forum prays to Allah to ease the sufferings of Nigerians.
The forum also prayed that Almighty Allah would approve of Muslim’s kind deeds and forgive all their disobedient acts and sins.
It expressed gratitude that even though COVID-19 is novel, the Muslim community has broadly cooperated with the government in observing the safety protocols and appealed to them to continue to pray.
ACF said it is using the Sallah celebrations to call on all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic affiliation or religious belief to see this as an opportunity to share their love with their compatriots especially those who need love and care.
ACF prayed that the Almighty Allah would show Nigerians the right path and help them in every step of life.
