EPL Table: Chelsea beat Crystal Palace in five goals thriller to go top three

Chelsea on Tuesday evening defeated Crystal Palace 3-2 in the Premier League.

Olivier Giroud scored the first goal of the match for Chelsea in the sixth minutes of the encounter before Christian Pulisic doubled the lead for the visitors.

Wilfried Zaha then pulls one back for the host before the half time.

However, the Blues then increase their lead through Tammy Abraham’s strike in the 71 minutes before Christian Benteke scored for the host one minute later as Frank Lampard’s side grabbed all three points at Selhurst Park.

The win over Crystal Palace means Lampard’s men are now in the third position on the Premier League table with 60 points from 34 games.

The West London club are behind Manchester City and Liverpool on the log.

Chelsea’s next fixture is against Sheffield United on Saturday.
