Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’a Waikamatus Sunnah(JIBWIS) says its newly proposed As-salam University, Hadjia in Jigawa State is expected to accommodate all sects and religions.
The clarification follows accusations that the sect plans to sideline other sects and religions in its admission process.
The chairman of the state Organising committee, Dr Abdulkadir Saleh Kazaure disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the committee’s efforts for actualising the university.
He explained that the University has no plans to segregate amongst religious beliefs and sects in all its processes.
“Just like every other University, all its guidelines and procedures for admission are similar with other universities approved by the NUC” he noted.

“Even some Christians and other Muslim sects movements have made their donation for the establishment of the University.
He said the committee has so far realized over N5 billion in its funds raising for the establishment of the University.
The chairman commended President Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for their support towards the actualisation of the University.
It was reported that JIBWIS had launched the foundation laying of the proposed As-Salam University, Hadejia and solicited support form Groups and individuals for the establishment of the university.
