The presidency has dismissed an unverified report claiming that Yusuf Buhari who had a motorcycle accident is dead.
The special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, who reacted to the rumour in tweet on Wednesday, February 21, described the report as fake news.

The presidential aide said Yusuf was very alive and well.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported Yusuf Buhari was discharged from Cedarcrest hospital on Friday, January 12, after undergoing treatment for a motorcycle accident.

The hospital said Yusuf was placed in its intensive care unit after an initial stabilization following injuries sustained as a rider in a motorcycle accident.
The hospital added that Yusuf's condition remarkably improved after a surgery was carried out by a team of neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons before he was transferred from the ICU to the ward.
