- The atmosphere in the town of Dapchi in Yobe state on Wednesday March 21, was that of excitement as Boko Haram returned 101 abducted schoolgirls

- The returned girls were part of the 110 schoolgirls abducted by the insurgency on Monday, February 19

- In what appeared to be an expression of relief, residents waved at the insurgents as they were leaving the town of Dapchi

The town of Dapchi in Yobe state was filled with jubilation on Wednesday, March 21 over the release of 101 out of the 110 schoolgirls that were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on Monday, February 19.

As the insurgents were leaving the town after returning the girls, residents of the town waved them goodbye.

NAIJ.com notes that five of the abducted schoolgirls were said to have died in Boko Haram captivity

Recall that the girls were abducted from their school, Government Girls Technical College, Dapchi, on Monday February 19.
