Ex-Minister, Moro joins Benue senatorial race to replace David Mark

Makurdi—Immediate past Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, has joined the senatorial race in the Benue south district on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to replace former Senate president, David Mark.

Moro, who declared his intention to run for the seat, weekend before a cross section of his supporters in Otukpo at the end of his consultation tour of the district, said he was qualified to represent the people in the red chamber of the National Assembly.

The former minister said, “I have consulted very widely, I have consulted with the leaders of the party, I have consulted with our elders, and before I started with the consultations to the various local governments I got every indication that I can be supported to run for the seat of the Benue south senatorial district on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.”
