2019: Retired generals are ganging up against Buhari - Oshiomole





- Comrade Adams Oshiomole, national chairman of All Progressives Congress, has declared that the future of Nigeria is in the hands of the general masses

- Oshiomole made this known on Saturday, January 19, in Minna during the APC presidential campaign held at the Trade Fair complex

- The APC national chairman said the retired generals and former heads of states are against the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari

Comrade Adams Oshiomole, national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), declared that the future of Nigeria is not in the hands of the retired generals and former heads of states but in the hands of the general masses.

The Nation reports that Oshiomole made this known on Saturday, January 19, in Minna during the APC presidential campaign held at the Trade Fair complex.

The APC national chairman also disclosed that the dignitaries are against the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said: “Many of the retired Generals are ganging up against President Buhari, that he will not do eight years while they did more than eight years.

“I remember they did it before it the past but this time, the plan will not work. The future of Nigeria is not in the hands of retired generals or former heads of state. It is in the hands of the general people.”

The APC chieftain then alleged that “everywhere PDP goes, they are saying the elections will be rigged. We need to play those videos of where Obasanjo and Atiku said that election must be won do or die by PDP. ”

He maintained that APC do not need to rig any election as they remain a firm believer of one man, one vote, “we remain a firm believer of one man, one vote, one woman, one vote and one former head of state, one vote.”

In his address, the Niger state APC chairman, Engineer Jibril Imam promised the president that the state will give him 101 per cent of its vote.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that President Buhari on Saturday, January 19, called on eligible voters to vote massively for candidates of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in the February and March general election .

Addressing a mammoth crowd of party supporters at Trade Fair Complex Minna, Buhari said the APC led administration will continue to implement people-oriented policies and programmes that will enhance the well being of Nigerians.

He said arrangement has been concluded for the construction of modern standard gauge rail line from Minna to Abuja, and to Baro Inland Water Port to enhance socio economic growth of the state.

Buhari commissioned the port today before the rally. He said a new Lagos – Ibadan – Minna – Kaduna and Kano rail line is being constructed while Mokwa- Jebba federal road is ready.
