Some weeks ago the news of an alleged serial rapist and his victims broke out on popular social media platform, Twitter. In a recent development it was alleged that the young man committed suicide, however, a family member has now debunked news of his demise.
Following the news of the death of a Nigerian businessman identified as Micheal Asiwaju that surfaced on the internet after being accused as a serial rapist, his brother Dapo Asiwaju has now taken to social media to deny reports that his brother has passed on.
The alleged rapist who had taken to Twitter to share unclad images and videos of himself and his victims, revealed that he was going to commit suicide after the heavy backlash he received from the online community for the allegations leveled against him.
His brother took to his page saying: “My brother isn’t dead, he’s in Coma. Y’all should please stop spreading false information.”

The tweet which has now gained over 3000 retweets from his followers triggered a lot of mixed reactions. Many had lashed out at the family, saying it was simply another publicity stunt by them. See some reactions below:

However, Legit.ng can not verify as at this time if the Twitter account truly belongs to the man who claims to be Asiwaju's brother.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously gathered a report that revealed over 80 Nigerians had died as a result of suicide within a period of 13 months. It was also disclosed that Lagos state was leading the pack with 14 reported cases with the period that was reviewed.
