Premier League side, Liverpool, were on Tuesday night, February 19, forced to a 0-0 draw by German giants, Bayern Munich, in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 played at Anfield.
Liverpool were looking to take a step towards another Champions League final like they did last season in their quest for the tournament's glory.
They came into the match without Virgil van Dijk who has been at the heart of defense this season at the club as the Dutchman was serving a one-match suspension.

However, despite being tipped as one of the most exciting last 16 fixture, the Tuesday tie failed to produce any goal in both halves.
The hosts had a couple of goalscoring chances in the opening exchanges of the clash, but failed to capitalise on any of them.

Mohamed Salah nearly grabbed the opener in the 13th minute after a brilliant pass from Henderson, but the Egyptian had his effort saved by Manuel Neur who was in goal for the Bundesliga side.
Jurgen Klopp's men wasted another chance in the half hour mark, with Sadio Mane shooting wide from Naby Keita's rebound effort.

The encounter eventually finished goalless in regular time, with the second half failing to produce any spark.
Liverpool will now be seeking to up their game ahead of the second leg, as Bayern will be having an edge over the Premier League side as hosts.
