Sami Khedira has been diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat leaving Juventus worried over his future.
The Germany international was left behind as his team traveled to Spain ahead of their round of 16 Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
The former Real Madrid trained with the Bianconeri earlier on Tuesday, February 19, only for Juve boss Max Allegri to announce the 31-year-old could not make the journey.

A statement released from the Italian champions revealed Khedira had remained in Turin for medical examinations.
They added that the midfielder has been diagnosed with an atrial arrhythmia and will undergo further tests in the coming days.

AF is an irregular heartbeat that can lead to blood clots, strokes, heart failure and other heart-related complications.
Khedira's contract at the Allianz Stadium will expire in the summer of 2021 and has made 15 appearances already this season.
