APC ends all campaigns ahead of presidential election





- APC dissociates itself from any form of campaign activity promoting its candidates, President Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo as from 12am of Friday, February 22

- Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the APC presidential campaign council, thanks Nigerians for the support they showed to its presidential and vice presidential candidate during campaign tours

- Keyamo urges the party supporters to go to their various polling units on Saturday, February 23, without any campaign material and cast our votes for the APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it has stopped all campaigns and related activities related to the presidential election as from Thursday, February 21, at 11.59pm, in accordance with the Electoral Act 2010 as amended.

The party in a statement made available to Legit.ng on Thursday, evening February 21, by Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the APC presidential campaign council, disassociated itself from any form of campaign activity promoting its candidates President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo from 12 midnight of Friday, February 22, 2019.

The party thanked its party members and Nigerians for the support they showed to its presidential and vice presidential candidate during campaign tours across the country.

The APC urged its supporters to go to their various polling units on Saturday, February 23, without any campaign material and cast our votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Meanwhile, the former vice president of Nigeria and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has vowed not to let cabals overtake his government if elected into power in the February 23 election.

Daily Trust reports that Atiku made this statement while interacting with stakeholders from the 23 local government areas of Kaduna state, at the Trade Fair complex

The PDP presidential candidate who promised to sell the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), also claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari is not in control of his government and charged him to relinquish his power as the minister of petroleum.
