Jubilation as 54-year-old WWE legend returns back to the ring

Stone Cold Steve Austin, legendary WWE star, has signed up for the Raw ‘reunion’ show, in a move that will see the famed wrestler make a sensational return to the ring alongside other WWE legends.

Stone Cold would headline an all-star list of WWE finest, including Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Christian, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash.

The event, dubbed "the biggest reunion in Monday Night in Raw History" will also see The Boogeyman, Shane Helms and Ted DiBiase Sr Jimmy Hart make appearances.

Stone Cold, who could not clearly hide his excitement has since taken to social media to confirm his imminent return.

"Austin 3:16 says i will be in Tampa, Fl next Monday for @wwe Monday night Raw," he said.

"I have made sure this is not a dry county and that’s the bottom line cause I said so,"the Texan hilariously concluded.

Meanwhile, the announcement was unsurprisingly met with delight among wrestling fans, with one posting: "Finally excited for raw again."

Another wrote: "Nice! first raw I'll be tuning into in a long time."

The show is slated for Monday, July 22, at the Amalie Arena in Florida.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that John Cena, WWE legend, was considering to call it a day after he admitted retiring from professional wrestling had been on his mind.

Now that the Hollywood actor has hit 42, he may be leaning towards soon hanging up his trunks for good and taking up acting on a permanent basis.

TMZ Sports caught up with Cena while in New York and asked what he thought of the disastrous match between The Undertaker and Bill Goldberg at Super Showdown on Friday, June 7.
