Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the Nigeria Army announced the acquisition of four Mine Resistant Anti Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs) as part of its strategies to intensify effort in the fight against Boko Haram.

A statement by the force on its official twitter handle also announced that the vehicles were acquired following partnership with an indigenous armour vehicle manufacturing company based in Ode-Remo in Ogun state.

It added that Proforce Nigeria Limited, which made the vehicles, did a commendable job in delivering first ever Nigerian Army proforce locally manufactured MRAP, four of which were inaugurated on August 1, 2019 by the chief of defence staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin.
