The quest to decide who becomes Nigeria president in 2023 presidency has began in real earnest and this time, with it comes with a warning that involves the unity of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

According to Tribune, this warning was given by no other person than the former governor of Anambra state, Chukwuemeka Ezeife.

According to Ezeife, if the Nigerian presidency is not zoned to the South East, this translate to the message that the region is not wanted in Nigeria.

He said this may lead to the South East region splitting from Nigeria.

He disclosed this during the inauguration of South East for President 2023 (SEFORP 2023), FCT branch, Tribune reports.

Going further, he said the Igbos would explore every option available in the books to secure 2023.

However, if this fails, it means the country does not need the Igbos.

Meanwhile, recall that Legit.ng had reported that some notable citizens of the country still believe that President Muhammadu Buhari might want to govern beyond 2023.

The belief was echoed by the Lagos-based human rights activist, Femi Falana, who said the president was secretly pursuing his third term agenda.

Legit.ng gathered that Falana told a newspaper on Friday, November 8, that Nigerians should disregard the denial, saying all moves by the president and his men pointed to tenure elongation ambition.
