The power of coming together has saved a couple from having to participate in the holidays the way they like. Texas couple, Claudia and Nick Simonis were left stunned when they got a notification demanding that they remove their Christmas decorations because it was 'too early'.
It was gathered that the Christmas-loving couple decorated their front lawn on November 1 in anticipation of the giving season. However, their buzz was deflated when they got a letter from homeowners association, Diamond Association Management & Consulting demanding that they remove the decorations as it was too early to have them up.
Furious at the request, the couple explained to CNN that they love Christmas and will go on with decorations in and outside of their home as it harms no one. More so, the couple who have two kids, aged seven and two, had spent their last Christmas travelling and were excited to be spending this up-coming holidays at home.
Their excitement led them to decorating early and rather than enjoy every moment of it, their efforts were met by hostility. However, all that changed when they got support from their neighbours, who also started putting up their decorations early as well. In the end, community support trumped everything else.
Claudia and Nick Simonis put out a handful of Christmas decorations on November 1 but got asked to take it down.
