When other kids are busy watching TV or playing video games, 5-year-old Jeremiah Travis has already found his path in life. Travis who is a snare drummer at St. Helena College and Career Academy in Greensburg, Louisiana has won a full band scholarship to Alcorn State University in Mississippi.
According to his 40-year-old mother, Nicole Jackson, for as long as she can remember, her son has always loved beating something. He would play video games for just a few minutes and he is looking for how to make heart-pounding rhythms by beating something.
"My child only plays a video game for no longer than 15 minutes and then he wants to beat on something," his mother Jackson told USA Today.
Not only is he super talented, he is a fast learner too. From the dance moves to the cadences, the kindergartner has dazzled crowds with his performances in halftime and sideline shows, including New Orleans Pelicans basketball games.
The young boy is often surrounded by people 10 times in age during practice, but this only fuels his passion and increases his confidence.
Each day, Travis is surrounded by beginner band members and drummers who are 10 years older than him and more than twice his size.
Meanwhile, Haley Moses, 24, has become the first autistic candidate to pass her bar exams and become an attorney in Florida, United States.
Born with autism, Moses' parent realised their daughter's condition while she was still a little girl. She had trouble with expressing herself in words despite being brilliant at non-verbal talents. Although she could not express herself, she had other talents that showed she was an intelligent child.
