A young mum identified as Rachel Campey has a lot to be grateful after graduating with a degree in psychology at age 21. Campey who hails from Cross Gates, England had to drop out of school at age 14 after she got pregnant, however, she never gave up on her dreams.
Recently, the hardworking single mother bagged a degree with her daughter by her side. It was gathered that Campey studied at Leeds Trinity University where she bagged a degree in counselling psychology Wednesday, December 4.
Metro UK reports that Rachel revealed that she struggled with anxiety and the stress of balancing a degree, job and the responsibilities of being a single mother for three years – but her daughter has been her inspiration.
Now, Rachel wants to encourage other single parents to chase their dreams and push their own expectations for themselves. ‘If you’re a young parent and you’ve suffered with mental health issues, it doesn’t mean the end of your goals. You can still work towards them whenever you’re ready,’ she says.

Meanwhile, congratulations are in order for Wendy Okolo who was recently honoured as a distinguished recent graduate at her alma mater, the University of Texas at Arlington. Okolo who studied at the university between 2010 and 2015 was recognised for her great strides after graduating the school.
Okolo is an aerospace research engineer in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA Ames Research Center. She is the first black woman to obtain a PhD degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
