Atiku reacts as DSS rearrest Sowore, says it's unacceptable





- Atiku has faulted the rearrest of Omoyele Sowore

- The former vice president described the arrest as unacceptable

- Consequently, he also called for an inquiry into the incident

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria's former vice president has faulted the attack and rearrest of Omoyele Sowore, the convener of RevolutionNow protest by personnel of the Department of State Service (DSS).

Abubakar consequently called for an inquiry into the incident.

He also called on the FG to fish out those involved in the incident, which he also described as unacceptable.

"Today, I am in extreme anguish of spirit having watched the unfortunate drama that played itself out at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, in which agents of the state caused a commotion in court in order to frustrate a judgment of a court of competent authority," he disclosed on Twitter.

Recall that Legit.ng had reported that the member representing Egbeda Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Akin Alabi, reacted to the rearrest of Omoyele Sowore on Friday, December 6 in a tweet.

Sowore is the convener of #RevolutionNow, a social action movement in Nigeria and the publisher of an online newspaper.

After spending 124 days in detention, Sowore regained his freedom on Thursday, December 5, after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered his release for the third time.

Recall that on Friday, December 6, Sowore was rearrested by the operatives of DSS at the office of the secret police after making an initial attempt to do so inside the Federal High Court premises immediately after the end of the proceedings.
