President Muhammadu Buhari has described the death of renowned evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke, as a great loss to Nigeria, Africa, and the entire world.
The Nigerian president in a statement through one of his media aides, Femi Adesina, on Saturday, December 7, condoled with the government and people of Germany of the death of the evangelist.
The president said that Bonnke’s crusades in Nigeria, across Africa and the globe strongly propagated the message of Jesus Christ, and his vision and zeal for the salvation of souls clearly helped the world in understanding the power of love and kindness as universal language
“The president prays that the Almighty God will accept the soul of the departed preacher, believing that his legendary contributions to the body of Christ in teaching and writing will always be remembered by posterity,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, President Buhari sent a condolence message to President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, over the death of his brother, Prince Sultan.
The Nigerian president in a statement on Saturday, December 7, through Garba Shehu, one of his media aides, said he received news of the death of Prince Sultan with shock.

In another news report, President Buhari has raised the stakes for members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who have the ambition of occupying elective positions.
Speaking to all 36 state chairmen of the APC who paid him a courtesy visit at State House, Abuja, on Friday, December 6, President Buhari said the bottom-to-top approach will be used for those among them who seek to be re-elected.
In his explanation of the strategy, the president said that it requires that the prospective candidates must possess solid bases from the grassroots to national levels as one of the necessary.
