Former Chelsea manager finally reveals when he will retire from football management

- Maurizio Sarri seems to be nearing the end of his active coaching career

- The 61-year-old says the pressure of the game is getting too much for him

- Sarri added that he will consider signing a new contract if his energy permits him

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has hinted that he could retire from coaching at the end of his contract with the Serie A giants.

The Italian born tactician only took over at the Allianz Stadium last summer after replacing countryman Massimiliano Allegri.

Sarri signed a three-year deal which will keep in charge of the Old Lady until June 2022 barring any unforeseen circumstances.

However, the former Chelsea handler reveals this could be his last job as a football manager, adding that he will only consider the option of extending his deal only if he has energy in him.

Meanwhile, with a trip to Stadio San Paolo to battle his former club Napoli this weekend, the 61-year-old admits the pressure on the job could force him to step down after his deal expires.

He said: "After this experience, I could even quit: it depends on what energy I have left and if I think I can do well again. These aren't things I'm thinking about at this moment."

"Pressure is a false myth: external pressure must not influence you, but if your motivation is lost then it is better to stop.

"I don't know if at the end of my contract with Juventus I will be the same Sarri: if yes, I will continue. Otherwise, no."

Sarri's men sit atop of the Italian League table with 51 points - four points better than this season's title contenders Inter Milan ahead of their 21st games of the season according to Goal.com.

He added: "Napoli are a strong team that even in difficult moments can be dangerous in a one-off game. They have a position that doesn't reflect their performance. And they will have great motivation.

It would be recalled that Sarri was not at the stands for Juve at the start of the season having being diagnosed with pneumonia.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has been hailed by Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri who expressed happiness for his performances so far this season for the Old Lady in all competitions.

Despite losing the 2019 Ballon d'Or award to big rival Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo has been firing in all cylinders since then for Juventus.
