The Punch reports that the National Assembly after they came back from their five-week break on Tuesday, January 29, bemoaned the state of insecurity in the nation, saying it is alarmingly high.

The House of Representatives said there must be a proactive measure towards the many killings happening in Plateau, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s members said that the federal government is not responding to the crisis well enough.
