Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic fired AC Milan to the semifinals of this season's Coppa Italia championship following their 4-2 win over Torino.

The 38-year-old who recently rejoined the Rossoneri in a short term deal scored an extra-time goal to ensure they reach the last four stage of the competition.

Stefano Pioli's men got the game started on a bright note after Giacomo Bonaventura tapped them ahead in the 12th minute.

The 30-year-old connected with Ante Rebic's superb cross from the left flank which beat the entire Torino defenders before finding its way to Italian star who made no mistake in putting the ball into the back of the net.

Milan continued their attacking tactics but the visitors tried resisting their advances until the 34th minute when Bremer leveled up for them with an assist from Simone Verdi.

The 27-year-old clinically put the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma after running into space to catch with a drop ball.

Bremer doubled his side's lead in the 71st minute after heading home an Ola Aina's precise cross from the left flank to put his side ahead for the first time in the game.

Hakan Calhanoglu, however, scored a late minute goal to help the home team stretch the game into extra time.

Calhanoglu and Ibrahimovic scored within four minutes to power the Rossoneri to victory as they reach the next stage of the competition.

This is Zlatan's second goal since he joined the Serie A giants on a free transfer earlier during the winter transfer window.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic proved once again that he is worth all the hype as he scored a goal in his second game since his return to Milan.

The Rossoneri recorded a fairly comfortable 2-0 win against Cagliari, with Zlatan helping his side secure his side’s first win in four games.

Ibrahimovic has returned to his former club AC Milan after leaving the San Siro giants in almost eight years.

The Serie A side posted two videos on their Twitter handle confirming the 38-year-old's return to the club.
