Barcelona's official Twitter account was hacked on Saturday, February 15, by a group of hackers who called themselves 'OurMine', and the situation left everybody confused after various false tweets emerged from the tampered account.
As a top club in Europea with a recent history of success in modern football, Barcelona's security was put into test when the hackers took over the club's Twitter page.
Over 31 million followers of the club on the micro-blogging platform were thrown into confusion after the 'internet bad boys' tweeted that the club has got a grip hold of things over the return of Neymar.
Incredibly, doctored images of Neymar in the Barcelona shirt were also tweeted as well as #bartumeuout, likely in relation to club president Josep Maria Bartomeu who some sections of the fans wanted axed out amid recent controversy bedevilling the club.
The pictures and tweets were later though deleted, the hackers left a stunning message for Barcelona on the need to improve the security of their accounts saying "this is the second time. The security level is better but not the best."
The group also went on to hack the official Olympics Twitter page, leaving some messages on the account before vanishing from it.
Meanwhile, Neymar departed Camp Nou for Paris-Saint-Germain in search of new challenges for a world-record fee of £228 million
The Brazilian star joined The Catalans in 2013 and departed 2017 after failing to be on the same page with Lionel Messi.
His massive money return to Barcelona was frustrated last summer, forcing the former Santos star to stay another season with the French league giants.
And Barcelona are expected to pursue the deal that will see the Selecao forward return back to Camp Nou in the next summer.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported that Neymar Jr, has expressed strong admiration for both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, saying the two powerful footies are "my idols."
The PSG forward, 28, is considered the leading light of football's next generation and there are debate he would also take the Ballon d'Or diadem from the Argentine and the Portuguese who are diving towards their twilight days.
Meanwhile, Neymar played with Messi at Barcelona before sealing a world-record move to Paris Saint Germain in 2018 in search of new challenges and verdant field of promise.
