- The 23-year-old found the back of the net in the 75th minute while a brace from Ianis Hagi sealed the win for the home team
- Aribo will hope he can maintain the momentum in their second leg next week despite starting the match from the bench
Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo was on target for his Scottish Super League side Rangers in their 3-2 dramatic comeback victory over SC Braga in the first leg of their Europa League round of 32 clash.
The 23-year-old attacker found the back of the net with 15 minutes left to play from close range, but that was after he had dribbled close to five Braga defenders.
Despite the cluster of players on him, Aribo skillfully places the ball beyond the reach of the visitors' goalkeeper Matheus to level parity for his home team.

The Nigerian football star started the match from the bench and was introduced into the game in the 54th minute after coming on for Glen Kamara.
And it only took him about 20 minutes to make an uncontestable impact in the game as they went ahead to win the game despite two goals before the hour mark.
A goal each from Fransergio and Abel Ruiz in the 11th and 59th minutes had put the guests in a comfortable position earlier in the game.
But, Ianis Hagi's brace and a goal from Aribo ensured their early goals ended a mere consolation ahead of the second leg next week.

Aribo has now scored six goals and seven assists across competitions for his Scottish Premier League side this campaign.
The attacker made his debut for Nigeria in 2019 and has also scored twice in just four appearances for the three-time African champions, and will form a major part of Gernot Rohr's team to the 2021 AFCON championship baring any unforeseen circumstances.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Arsenal are one step closer to reaching this season's Europa League round of 16 following their 1-0 victory over Olympiacos at the Karaiskaki Stadium.
Frenchman Alexandre Lacazzette was the hero of the match after finding the back of the net just nine minutes from time to give his side the advantage ahead of the second leg in London.
The French man continued his recovery from a frustrating goal drought as he scored his second goal in as many games.
