Barcelona players face the possibility of being subjected to coronavirus check ahead of their Champions League encounter against Napoli on Tuesday, February 25.
The Catalans will travel to Italy for the first leg of the UCL Round 16 encounter and will have to be checked at the Naples airport amid reports that several cases of the deadly disease have been confirmed.
Since breaking in China, coronavirus has claimed over two thousand lives with many lives still on the red line in several countries in both Asia and Europe.
And it has now been confirmed that Barcelona players led by Lionel Messi may have their level of temperature checked to avoid the spread of the deadly virus which has spread to South Italy.
According to Sun UK quoting ESPN source, a couple of Serie A fixtures were cancelled in the weekend to prevent further outbreak of the disease including Inter vs Sampdoria and Atalanta vs Sassuolo.
A number of Serie B games were also postponed in the weekend including Ascoli vs Cremonese.
Two people who were reported to have contacted the disease from China have died, forcing the Italian authorities to take more drastic control of the disease including an immediate postponement of the Scotland women's rugby union Six Nations clash against Italy.
Barcelona will take their Italian colleagues at the San Paolo Stadium on Tuesday night, their first game in the competition since Valverde was sacked.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Jose Mendilibar who is the coach of Spanish side Eibar had made it clear that Barcelona do not need to rest Lionel Messi for their coming La Liga encounter this weekend.
