- Manchester City cleared to feature in European competitions next term

- The Citizens were initially found guilty of breaching the Financial Fair Play rules

- The two years suspension placed on them by UEFA has now been overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sports

- But they will still have to pay a fine of about $10 million as against the $30m earlier slapped on them

Manchester City have been given the green light to participate in next season's Champions League after the Court of Arbitration for Sports upturned their ban.

The former Premier League champions were initially banned for the next two seasons after being accused of breaching the 'Financial Fair Play' rules.

Although, they still have to pay a sum of $11 million (€10m) as fine as against the $33 million sanctioned on them.

Earlier this year when UEFA found City guilty, the continental football body said it found the club guilty of "overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to UEFA between 2012 and 2016."

Meanwhile, CAS revealed in s statement: "Manchester City did not disguise equity funding as sponsorship contributions but did fail to cooperate with the UEFA authorities.

This decision has now sparked up all kinds of reactions from all and sundry with many expressing disappointment towards the football body.

While many believed Manchester City got away cheaply for an offence they should have been punished for, others believe the decision was good for the game.
