Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has joined Dutch League side Sparta Rotterdam on a two-year deal from German League side from Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper joined his new team as a free agent after his contract with his former club was not renewed.
Okoye until last year was eligible to play for both Nigeria and Germany but the goaltender decided to pitch his tent with the West African nation.
He was in goal for Gernot Rohr's side in their 1-1 draw against South America side Brazil in an international friendly in 2019.
The Super Eagles star made just 14 appearances for his former club last season and has also conceded a total of 52 goals in 34 appearances - keeping clean sheets just eight times in the process for Fortuna Düsseldorf reserve.
Meanwhile, after sealing the deal, the Dutch club posted on their official page that: "With Maduka we bring in great talent.

"He was in the interest of several clubs from different countries, but he believes he can take the next step at Sparta. We believe he can be of value to this club and are happy that he signed here.”
