Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that some supporters of President Buhari had condemned the call for the sacking of Nigeria's service chiefs by the Senate and its leadership.
The supporters under the aegis of Coalition of Friends and Supporters of Buhari (CFSB) during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, July 22, described the Senate's call for the resignation of the service chiefs as a display of disloyalty and utter disrespect to the president.
The group said it wanted to use the opportunity to remind the lawmakers that President Buhari is the only person constitutionally conferred with the power to hire and sack the military heads.
The president of the group Musa A. Musa said the lawmakers' action is a disservice to the generality of Nigerians given the enormous commitment displayed by the service chiefs to the nation.

Further condemning the Senate leadership for opting to play politics at the expense of national interest, the president's supporters said the move by the lawmakers is an embarrassment to President Buhari.
Stating that tremendous progress has been made, CFSB said a great level of success has been recorded through innovations and strategies introduced by the service chiefs in tackling the various security threats across Nigeria.
