Chelsea star Pulisic faces stiff competition from 3 Man United stars for prestigious Premier League award

Christian Pulisic will have to compete with Man United's trio of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial for the Young Player of the Season Award.

Man City's Raheem Sterling won the 2018-19 accolade following his impressive performances for Pep Guardiola's side that won them the Premier League.

But this year's award have strong contingents that performed excellently well as fans will have to vote for the player who would wear the crown.

Martial and Rashford scored 17 Premier League goals this season while 18-year-old Greenwood had ten strikes in his name.

Sheffield United's Dean Henderson who is currently on loan from United is also in contention after keeping 13 clean sheets in the entire season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's 13 assists and four goals during Liverpool's title winning-campaign has made him favourite for the coveted award.

Aston Villa's star man Jack Grealish was part and parcel of his team's survival in the topflight division scoring eight goals and provided six assists as well as being the most fouled player in the league.

Chelsea's Pulisic dazzled at the end of the season while another nominee Mason Mount showed flashes of brilliance in the early stages of the campaign as both attackers earned a nominated.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Chelsea's chance of reaching Champions League quarterfinals may have been canceled after two of their players have been ruled out of Bayern Munich's second leg round of 16 fixture.

The duo of Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta suffered hamstring injuries during their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the final of this year's FA Cup championship at Wembley Stadium.

Pulisic opened scoring for the Stamford Bridge outfit but a Pierre-Emerich Aubameyang's brace turned the result in favour of the Gunners.
