Super Eagles star Joe Aribo was in brilliant form on Wednesday night, August 12, as his Scottish club Rangers recorded 3-0 win over visiting St Johnstone.

Leon Balogun who recently completed a move to Rangers was also in action in this encounter as the club are still topping the League table with nine points after three games.

Borna Barisic put the hosts ahead with his stunning free-kick in the 21st minute, and he nearly scored another five minutes later.

Liam Craig had the chance to restore parity for the visitors in the 39th minute, but his shot was punched away by goalkeeper Parish.

Ryan Kent scored the second goal for Rangers in the 45th minute as the hosts went into the dressing room with two-goal lead.

Four minutes into the second half, Aribo made it three for Rangers after connecting to James Tavernier’s corner kick to rifle home his first goal of the new season.

Helander came close to a fourth after getting on the end of Barisic’s free-kick, however, he was unable to make anything happen.

Anglo-Nigerian Isaac Olaofe almost reduced the deficit, but his point-blank strike was saved by goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin.

Meanwhile, Joe Aribo has also been impressive for the Super Eagles since he got into the national team under coach Gernot Rohr.
