Governor Nyesom Wike has asked the Rivers leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to give the All Progressives Congress (APC) a breathing space in the state.
Wike insisted that the APC had nothing to offer the people of Rivers state. He called on members of the committee to show more love to PDP by being loyal and committed, The Nation reports.
The governor disclosed this when the state executive committee members led by Amb. Desmond Akawor presented the party’s action plan to him at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
According to Wike, the ruling party has nothing to say that will convince Rivers people as the reason they should be voted for.

While endorsing the party's action plan, Wike urged the PDP leadership committee to do their best in consolidating the gains of the party.
He said: “As officers you owe the party a lot. We are working for our Party to be united to make sure that APC does not have a breathing space in our State.
“There is nothing the APC can say to Rivers people today as the reason they should be voted for. Whether it is the federal government, or their political appointees, they have nothing to tell us.”
