Dele Alli has been left out of the Tottenham squad that will travel to Bulgaria to face Lokomotive Plovdiv in the first leg of their Europa League qualifying series.
The 24-year-old has an uncertain future with Spurs as reports say he recently had a fall out with manager Jose Mourinho.
Alli was branded ‘lazy’ by Mourinho and he was substituted at halftime during their Premier League home loss to Everton in their Premier League season opener.
Mourinho dismissed earlier reports that Alli was left out of the squad due to injury as the manager made it clear that the decison is a ‘tactical’ change as he needs a more dynamic midfield.
Tottenham will play on Thursday night, September 17, and Alli alongside seven others have been left behind in London.
Speculations have it that the England sensation could be heading to Real Madrid to replace Gareth Bale who is closing in on a deal to return to Spurs.

But club insiders insist Alli's omission does not mean he is set to leave the club.
Defenders Toby Alderweireld and Serge Aurier also have not travelled, while Japhet Tanganga is still sidelined with injury.
Meanwhile, Dele Alli’s team-mate Ben Davies has responded to claims by the Tottenham manager that the players were lazy after their unexpected home loss to Everton in their season opener.
Furious Mourinho blasted the players after the game on Sunday, September 13, branding players 'lazy' and having the ‘wrong state of mind’ after the Toffees hit them 1-0 right in their backyard.
According to the Portuguese manager, the players failed to live up to expectation as they could not threaten their visitors who grabbed all three points from the fixture.
Left-back Ben Davies have however exonerated himself from the manager’s claims and also defended his team-mates, citing disappointment at their boss.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Gareth Bale is expected to arrive in London on Friday, September 18, as he hopes to seal his switch to former club Tottenham after he agreed personal terms with the club.
The Welshman was seen arriving at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training ground on Thursday morning, September 17, as he says goodbye to Los Blancos.
Bale reportedly agreed a personal one-year contract with Spurs and according to Sportsmail, the deal is over £13million.
