Manchester City got their Premier League title contention off to a winning start following their 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.
This is the first time since January 14, 2019, that the Citizens will triumph over Wolves in any competitive match having lost both home and away games to them last campaign.
However, the Etihad Stadium outfit found another way to deal with their adversary in their first game of the 2020-21 season with a resounding result.
A goal each from Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden, and Gabriel Jesus were all the visitors needed to secure maximum points at the end of the encounter.

The Belgian scored a stunning goal from the spot just 20 minutes into the encounter after being fouled by Romain Saiss in the 18-yard box.
Foden doubled City's lead in the 32nd minute with a superb close-range effort with Raheem Sterling providing the assist.

Guardiola's men were dominated most part of the opening half and they had the result to show for their efforts.
Both sides returned from the half time break to resume hostilities but neither team was able to find the back of the net until the 78th minute when Raul Jimenez reduced the deficit for Wolves.
The 29-year-old Mexican unleashed an unstoppable header from Daniel Podence's cross from the right flank and it went beyond Ederson Moraes' reach.
Gabriel Jesus sealed the victory for the away team on the stroke of 90 minutes with a fine finish after driving into the box before firing straight into the roof of the net.
The Citizens will welcome Bournemouth to the Etihad Stadium in their next fixture as they continue their title chase.
