Channels TV resumes operations — hours after going off-air

Channels Television has resumed operations less than two hours after going off-air following threats of attacks on its station.

Earlier on Wednesday, the television station had gone off-air after reports that hoodlums were on their way to its Lagos office, following an attack on Television Continental (TVC) in the state.

Journalists and staff of Channels Television fled the premises over fear of a mob attack.

However, checks as of 2:10pm on Wednesday showed that the station was back online.
