Former manager and ex-wife of Nigerian singer 9ice, Toni Payne, has said that the country is in its current state because so many people are poor and hopeless.
In the post which she shared on her Instastory, she also said that the people currently enjoying the country are the wealthy as they have accumulated enough wealth to enjoy despite how broken the country is.
Toni also prayed for the country and hoped that the leaders will receive sense and empathy.
Here’s what she said:
"What you see going on in Naija is a result of leaving so many people poor and hopeless. The only people who love naija are the people naija works for. The people who were lucky enough to accumulate wealth and “enjoy” a broken country. A lot are blind to the situation of the masses because they are doing ok. May God heal Nigeria and more so, may the leaders receive sense and empathy."
